The Ethiopian agricultural authority (EAA), is a Federal Agricultural Regulatory Authority, whose role is to ensure Agricultural Technologies, Agricultural Inputs, Agricultural Products and Agricultural Services as defined under the regulation No. 509/2022 are standardized, registered and run by a person issued with a Competency Certificate. To confirm whether agricultural products and services comply with performance/efficacy, quality, health and safety standards, it conducts a series of inspections and takes regulatory measures as needed.
